How long have you been doing photography?
We have been served hundreds of happy brides, families, and individuals with great photos since 2001.
What’s your approach to photography?
It’s no secret that 95% of people do not enjoy having cameras pointed at them, initially. If you are among the lucky 5% of people that do, then half of our job is over and all we have left to do is find the most flattering angles and snap a bunch of great photos. For everyone else, (a.k.a. “the normal people”) we focus first on making the experience enjoyable. Because when you feel more comfortable, you look more natural. Then we can find your best angles and snap a bunch of great photos! We are the natural, “non-stiff pose” photography people.
Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes. The Gift Certificate can be purchased for any dollar amount or can be more specific such as a prepaid portrait session.

Can we see your portfolio in person and discuss our specific wedding details?
We are happy to book a free consultation to answer all your questions and show you “real” printed portfolio samples in a casual, no-obligation environment. We know that you will be pleased with the quality and service we offer and that you will give us strong consideration when choosing your wedding photographer.
Do you provide a contract for wedding photography?
Absolutely! Our commitment to your wedding photography is clearly spelled out in writing at the time of booking. We will gladly review the details of the contract with you during our interview.
What should we do to get ready for the photography session?
We plan the particulars of the shoot with you and will discuss the things you need to know to make your photography session a great experience. Once we know your photography needs and your desired style, we can make suggestions regarding clothing choices, locations, or anything else.
What locations are good for photos?
We succeed in taking beautiful, professional quality photos in all sorts of simple, ordinary places that you probably never thought could be an ideal “on-location studio”. Examples are backyards, public parks, beaches, a home or friend’s home, conservation areas, a cottage, the zoo, the 30th floor balcony of an apartment building, a library, etc. We are location specialists, and will use our expertise to create meaningful photos in a location that’s suitable for your photo session.
How do you proof the photos?
The photos will be displayed in an online gallery for up to 3 months, so you can browse them wherever and whenever you like. You may share the special link to your gallery with your friends and family so they can view the photos as well. Most Packages also include a proof CD or downloadable zip file of images, which you may use to make your own printed proofs, up to 4″x6″.
How soon after the shoot will we see our proofs?
This depends on our schedule and the type of photography shoot, but generally proofs are ready within 3-14 days. We can also arrange same-day delivery of proofs for time-sensitive events or business portraits having an immediate deadline.
Can I just purchase the digital files only and print my own photos?
Yes, we now offer digital files only packages. We still recommend ordering any large prints directly from us for the best image quality, because our finished products include further image enhancement and retouching, which make quite a noticeable difference especially in large prints.
Can we order additional prints at a later time?
Yes. We keep copies of the digital files for at least one year, so that you can order additional products at your convenience.
Do your prices include tax?
HST is charged in addition to our prices.
Are your prices firm?
Yes. Our prices are very competitive, and we respect each of our clients by offering the same reasonable prices to everyone. If the package you like exceeds your budget we can either make adjustments to provide a customized package or arrange an affordable payment schedule. There are discounts available for off-season and non-Saturday weddings.
What are your terms of payment?
For weddings, we require a non-refundable deposit of 50% at the time of booking to reserve the date. Payment for the balance is due 10 days prior to the wedding. Alternately, we can split the whole balance into multiple manageable payments to make the package more affordable.
Do you accept VISA and MasterCard?
No. We currently accept cash or cheque. However, most major credit card companies offer the convenience of writing cheques on a credit account; and these cheques are acceptable to us.
Do you charge extra fees for travel?
We do not charge any travel fees for our local service area, which includes Oshawa, Whitby, Bowmanville, Port Perry, and Courtice. We are also willing to travel to Toronto, Ajax-Pickering, Cobourg, Kingston, Ottawa, North Bay, Peterborough and many other places in Ontario, but of course any locations outside our local area are subject to reasonable travel fees.
